Our Governing Board

Ms. Taylor is a native of the Cave Spring Community. She earned her B.S in Business Administration from Berry College. Ms. Taylor is President of JCCI Resource Development Services, a grant development and external evaluation firm serving institutions of higher education across the nation. Prior to becoming President of JCCI, Ms. Taylor spent over 20 years in Institutional Advancement positions in higher education. Ms. Taylor founded the CSCC, the Cave Spring Learning Center and the NWGA Charter Academy to provide school choice to families in the region. Ms. Taylor is a fellow in the Georgia Charter Schools Association 2024 Incubator Program and has been invited to participate as a fellow in the American Federation for Children’s School Leader Fellowship Cohort (2025).

Mr. Lindsey is also a native to the proposed location of the school. He has spent several years as a local elected council member for the City of Cave Spring. Mr. Lindsey is a licensed realtor, and his knowledge in this area is unparalleled. Mr. Lindsey’s governance experience and connections to local and state elected officials have garnered critical support for our charter school efforts.

Dr. Williams has three decades of experience in K-12 school level and system level leadership. She began her career as a teacher and has held a variety of school and system executive leadership roles including Assistant Principal, Principal, Chief of School Improvement and Accountability, and Associate and Interim Superintendent. Dr. Williams retired in 2022 but returned to the classroom as an intervention specialist and teacher. Dr. William’s extensive experience has proven invaluable in developing the school’s academic, operational, and financial planning.

Ms. Potts is a graduate of Shorter University (B.S. Business Administration). She has served in several roles in the higher education field – as Manager of Follett Bookstores at seven college bookstores and as Manager of Student Accounts for Shorter University. In these roles, she was responsible for accounts receivable and payable, student accounts and disbursement of refunds as well as reconciliation and other accounting responsibilities. Ms. Potts is employed by JCCI as Executive Vice President and is responsible for managing client contracts and financial processes. Ms. Potts served as Registrar for the Cave Spring Learning Center and led community engagement efforts, working closely with parents, families and students to complete the enrollment process and navigate barriers to student performance.

Mr. Kinsey is a graduate of Shorter University and serves as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring. Mr. Kinsey’s leadership was a key component in the establishment of the Cave Spring Learning Center. Pastor Kinsey lives in Polk County and pastors in Floyd County. His nonprofit leadership and governance experience, relationships, and reputation have benefitted the charter academy effort in countless ways.

Active in the Rome/Floyd County community, Pastor Lewis leads Greater Christ Temple, a church serving a historically Black community with a strong tradition of service and empowerment. Pastor Lewis looks forward to maintaining and growing relationships while fostering new ones. Through his relationships in the community, we aim to establish a partnership to enhance student outcomes for those enrolling at the academy. Pastor Lewis and his wife, Deborah both are active on the Co-Design Team, which provides input on the school’s EL framework, curriculum, and family engagement strategies.

Lydia Cox graduated from Piedmont College in 2012 with an MBA in Business Administration and Spanish. She is married and has three beautiful children. She is a local and lives in the Rome area. She works at LIFE Church as a Children’s Director and the Administrator. She loves to serve, pour in to the next generation, and bake! She grew up in Rockmart and has several connections with the surrounding areas. She is bilingual and speaks Spanish.

Mrs. Lamboy brings strong entrepreneurial and strategic skills to the Charter Academy Board. She is a graduate of Berry College with double majors in Marketing and Management and double minors in Animal Science and Entrepreneurship. She is the owner of Graze in Downtown Cave Spring and operates Lamboy Beef with her husband, Bryson. Her commitment to the community includes serving as the Business Development Committee Chair for the Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority (DDA). As a passionate advocate for agriculture and local enterprise, her experience with marketing and community leadership is a vital asset to the Charter Academy.
